
Firm hosts retreat of RI League of Charter Schools Board
PROVIDENCE (Aug. 22, 2011) – Taylor Duane Barton & Gilman LLP recently hosted in its Providence office a day-long meeting of the Rhode Island League of Charter Schools Board of Directors.
During the meeting of the League’s Board, which is comprised of administrators from the state’s charter schools, Steve Adams and Matt Plain gave a presentation about complying with Rhode Island law when considering adverse employment decisions against tenured and non-tenured teachers.
Taylor Duane maintains an active school law practice, including representation of charter schools.
“We were pleased to make our conference room available to the League,” said Adams, a partner in the Providence office.
Added Plain, “The League does important consulting and advocacy work on behalf of the state’s charter schools, and this retreat will help it fulfill its mission.”
