Firm attorneys launch article series featuring legendary lawyers
PROVIDENCE (Sept. 9, 2011) – Matt Plain and Elizabeth Merritt have launched “Lunch With Legends,” an article series published by the Rhode Island Bar Journal highlighting senior members of the Rhode Island bar.
The inaugural article in the series – featuring longtime attorney Joseph A. Kelly – appears in the Sept./Oct. issue of the Bar Journal. Inspired by Napoleon Hill’s 1928 publication, “The Laws of Success,” the Lunch With Legends series explores the fundamental beliefs and foundational habits of successful and longstanding Rhode Island lawyers. Over lunch, the legends share with Plain and Merritt their war stories, lessons learned, memorable moments, and inventive and creative legal arguments and strategies. The next article will feature preeminent trial attorney Ray LaFazia.
“Our goal is to uncover and share the skills and traits that led legendary lawyers to success,” said Plain. “We want to bridge the gap between the most senior and junior members of the bar.”
Added Merritt: “Hopefully, we can help build camaraderie and instill pride among members of the bar.”
