Firm hosts training seminar for pro bono project

BOSTON (Jan. 19, 2012) – Taylor Duane Barton & Gilman recently hosted a pro bono training seminar in partnership with the Victim Rights Law Center (VRLC).

Numerous Taylor Duane attorneys, as well as visiting attorneys and law students, attended the training session in the firm’s Boston office in anticipation of providing pro bono legal services to clients of the VRLC, a non-profit agency that provides free legal services to victims of sexual assault and rape in Massachusetts. The two-hour seminar provided critical information on handling the challenges of working with sexual assault victims.

“The firm encourages our attorneys to devote a substantial amount of time toward providing pro bono legal advice. We are pleased to participate in this worthwhile cause and give back to the community,” said partner Andy Weiner, who is spearheading the firm’s affiliation with the VRLC.

Taylor Duane attorneys participate in numerous pro bono and community service activities throughout the year.
