Andria Coletta

Ms. Coletta has considerable civil litigation experience in federal and state courts, primarily in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Her practice includes insurance law and litigation, employment law, business litigation, professional liability litigation as well as bad faith litigation.

Ms. Coletta has lectured in the fields of employment law, data breach and information privacy law, insurance coverage and bad faith insurance practices. She also regularly counsels clients on best practices for data breach prevention and compliance issues, as well as litigation prevention. Ms. Coletta also advises corporate and insurance clients on information privacy law and cyber risk issues.

Representative Accomplishments

Ms. Coletta has resolved a number of complex, multi-party lawsuits by securing on behalf of her clients the fulfillment of contractual indemnification and insurance coverage obligations. She has counseled major insurers on insurance coverage issues in class action and multi-district litigation.

Ms. Coletta has successfully defended personal injury, breach of contract, contribution and indemnification claims at trial. She has also arbitrated personal injury, insurance coverage and insurance bad faith claims. With a focus on early and efficient disposition of cases, Ms. Coletta has also resolved litigation against her clients by pursuing successful dispositive motions before trial.

For four consecutive years (2006-2009), Ms. Coletta has been recognized in Boston Magazine as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer Rising Star in insurance coverage law.

Personal and Civic Affiliations

Ms. Coletta is active in a variety of professional organizations. She is a member of the National Association of Insurance Women, the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Association of Insurance Women, and is a co-founder of the American Institute of Insurance Coverage for Litigation Counsel of America. Her participation also includes the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, Defense Research Institute, the Professional Liability Insurance and CGL subcommittees of the Insurance Law Committee, the Labor and Employment Law Division of the American Bar Association, Rhode Island Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce.
