Lauren J. Regis

Lauren J. Regis focuses her civil litigation practice on professional liability defense, insurance coverage matters, toxic tort, employment law, premises liability and condominium disputes.

Representative Accomplishments

Ms. Regis persuaded a federal court judge to dismiss a negligent entrustment cause of action against an employer in a personal injury case. The employer owned the motor vehicle operated by its employee at the time of the accident. Ms. Regis at mediation successfully negotiated a favorable low-dollar settlement for her defendant client in a personal injury case. She played a substantial role in obtaining a defense jury verdict on behalf of a real estate broker in a case filed by a homeowner who alleged fraud and misrepresentation. Ms. Regis regularly conducts depositions as part of her trial practice.

Professional and Civic Affiliations

Ms. Regis is a member of the Women’s Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA). On behalf of the Associates Committee of the MDLA, she organized brown bag luncheon seminars on conducting direct and cross examinations. Ms. Regis is also a member of the Boston Chapter of the Junior League, the Union Park Neighborhood Association, the Emerging Leaders of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley, and the Boston Public Library Young Professionals Association.
