Lauren J. Regis

Lauren J. Regis focuses her civil litigation practice on professional liability defense, insurance coverage matters, toxic tort, employment law, premises liability and condominium disputes.

Representative Accomplishments

Ms. Regis recently obtained a defense verdict on behalf of a condominium association. Following a day-long bench trial, the court dismissed all claims of the unit owners. She played a substantial role in obtaining a defense jury verdict on behalf of a nurse practitioner in a case alleging wrongful death by the wife of a man who died of colon cancer. She has also persuaded a federal court judge to dismiss a negligent entrustment cause of action against an employer in a personal injury case. The employer owned the motor vehicle operated by its employee at the time of the accident. At a mediation, Ms. Regis successfully negotiated a favorable low-dollar settlement for her defendant client in a personal injury case.

Professional and Civic Affiliations

Ms. Regis is a member of the Women’s Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA). On behalf of the Associates Committee of the MDLA, she organized brown bag luncheon seminars on conducting direct and cross examinations. Ms. Regis is also a member of the Boston Chapter of the Junior League, the Union Park Neighborhood Association, the Emerging Leaders of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley, and the Boston Public Library Young Professionals Association.
