Robert C. Shindell
Robert C. Shindell has extensive experience litigating insurance coverage disputes and insurance bad faith actions in state and federal courts in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. In addition, insurance carriers rely on him for his expertise in providing coverage advice. Mr. Shindell also concentrates his practice on professional liability, product liability and construction litigation.
Mr. Shindell has considerable public speaking experience at seminars covering insurance law, coverage litigation and medical risk management.
Representative Accomplishments
Among his more recent accomplishments, Mr. Shindell successfully defended a federal court claim against his client involving insurance coverage and an allegation of bad faith claim handling. In addition, he has represented numerous insurers in connection with complex insurance coverage disputes, and has provided guidance to carriers to successfully avoid litigation.
He has successfully defended practitioners in professional liability cases through trial and binding arbitration.
Mr. Shindell has also successfully litigated construction claims, and has obtained indemnification for his clients pursuant to construction contracts and insurance policies issued to other parties.
Boston Magazine named Mr. Shindell a Super Lawyer in 2005.
